New Song Underground

New Song Underground is an outreach project of New Song Presbyterian Church that takes the form of an all-ages music venue where hospitality is the distinctive.

I am really excited to be around the Underground soon. Danny Maland is the man behind this endeavor. He is seeking ways to be hospitable toward the community and specifically toward Salt Lake's music scene community. In explaining the Underground's "Economy of Grace" philosophy, Danny states,
The economy of grace is, for Underground, based on the idea of “I was a stranger, and you welcomed Me.” The idea of Christian hospitality, manifested in making our facility and equipment available to those desiring to use it, is the basic principle of what is being attempted. Everyone should get our best, because we have received the best ourselves.
Next week our new adventure in Salt Lake City begins and one of the major reason it is so exciting to us are the folks of New Song, like Danny, who are seeking to advance God's grace in the world and to re-humanize the city.

Check out the entirety of Danny's "The 'Why' of New Song Underground" post here.
